Elsie Bermido: The Scourge of Sikatuna Bliss I

This woman calling herself Elsie Bermido who is known by another name or alias "Ligaya" owes a lot of people money in Bldg. IV Sikatuna Bliss Phase I. She has done a lot of people harm in our part of Bliss Housing.

In the previous month of December, a female Bliss resident called the attention of Elsie Bermido's daughter Jenny to please close the gate after she went inside. Instead of closing the gate, Jenny Bermido and later supported by her mother, shouted foul words at the Bliss resident and berated the resident down to size. Only for asking for the daughter Jenny to close the gate.

Who is her protector and close connection in the UP Barangay that she is always given topmost priority and people are summoned to the Barangay Hall everytime she makes a simple telephone call?

Does the Barangay Operations Center of DILG sanction this kind of act by the Barangay UP people? Does the DILG Secretary look happily upon these kinds of acts by the Barangay UP?

Calling on Sec. Ronaldo Puno. There is apparently a grave abuse of authority being done by the Barangay UP people in relation to Elsie (Ligaya) Bermido!

Kindly caution these people before anything harsh and untoward happens in the near future!

Will anyone please stop these people from risking our safety and security in Bliss I Bldg. IV in Sikatuna Village? Jesus Christ! If only Barangay UP was more compassionate to its constituents!!! And the police were more honest and sincere in their jobs!!!

Sikatuna Village Bliss Blues

Where we live, we are bounded by squatters left and right. The government housing that provided our houses have not done anything to improve the security and safety of the residents of Sikatuna Village Bliss Phase I and Phase II. From the longest time in my memory anything that is exposed or can be plucked from the outside is easily lost. Robbed. Burgled.

The squatter colonies raid the residents' houses and automobiles and take valuables with them. They take liberties with space and use them for their own parking lots and private personal spaces. The Sikatuna Village Bliss belongs to the Barangay UP Campus that has done nothing to help in the robbing and harassing of Bliss residents by the slum colonies surrounding it. If you catch a thief from the squatters and turn them over to the law, in many cases, they are protected by the local police instead of being made to rot in jail and face punishment for their crimes.

This has reached the point that each group of Bliss Building residents purchased metallic gates to ward off the squatters from further conducting forays into their houses and building corridors. However in our building, Bldg. IV, in Phase I, a resident calling herself Mrs. Elsie Bermido and her daughter Jenny Bermido, despite the resolve of the Bldg. IV residents to be safe, exposes all the residents once more to the thieves, robbers, burglars by constantly leaving the building gates open up to the wee hours of the morning. The mother and daughter invite elements from the squatter colony to come and go into and out of the building. Who is going to discipline this Bermido mother and daughter? When the Barangay UP Campus is overly "friendly" and easily comes to the aid of the Bermidos? The mother and daughter Bermidos in action:

On this day mother and daughter were very much alive and awake at 12:31 after midnight. Their nocturnal activities continue up to mid morning. Damn these people!

A humble word to the Barangay UP people:

A number of individuals have lost their lives due to the unsecure position of the Sikatuna Village Bliss.

We urge you to please help us correct this situation and close the fences of Bliss to outsiders and allow us to leave our lives peacefully.

Take a note of this comment from one of the Bliss residents:

"Why don't we let the Barangay UP officials experience the violence and harsh, notorious acts of the squatters and let's see how they will take the same pain we are suffering?"

Are you up to it Barangay UP officers and staff?

JC, Smokey and the stone

Jesus Christ and Satan were walking, talking about their various affairs. Suddenly, Satan tumbled from higher ground downwards and cried, "Heeey!!! Ouch!!! Damn, damn, God Damn!!!"

Satan and Jesus immediately looked for the cause of the tumbling of the daemon prince. They found two ugly stones protruding near the remnants of a fallen tree that tripped Satan's foot and made him go tumbling up up and away.

Jesus picked up the stones while Satan looked at it with disdain. Suddenly both realized, that the stones had many colours that mixed with each other to produce an illusion that the objects had shady aspects. Indeed in the beginning the stones were dirt ugly, but after Jesus wiped his robe upon it, the stones emitted to a trained eye, a few number of intermingling colors that both were dumbstruck for several seconds.

Jesus then looked at Satan and said, "let us keep these two stones for posterity. To remind us that we have to be careful next time when walking and not looking at where we step upon."

Satan grabbed the stones, and told Jesus right to his face: "I'll have that, mind you! You! Imagine what it did to me? If these stone are precious, it could mean money, fame and power! I deserve it after tumbling way down there," pointing at the level below where he fell flat on his behinds.

"Forget it," Jesus admonished Satan.

But Satan was adamant. He said, "I know! I know what I'll do with it!"

"What?" asked Jesus.

"Let's make this stone a senator and the other one a Congressman!"

"What for?"

"I don't know, good for it and good for me, I suppose." Then Satan got another bright idea, "I'll give a name for these stones, too!"

"What?"

"This one is Trillanes. This other one is Faeldon."

I really love that new blog about a certain Inday. Its so symbolic and the satire doesn't take umbrage. well, perhaps to some it would, but not to most of us. There is a core agenda to it that the author wishes the reader to follow; at the end, one believes that it is truly benign and to some extent even educative.
